中非传媒研究国际学术研讨会征稿通知

2015年“中非合作论坛”迎来成立15周年,中非战略伙伴关系在论坛推动下取得的成就令世界瞩目。“中非合作论坛”一直特别强调中非在新闻与媒体领域的交流与合作,鼓励双方新闻媒体加强对双方的客观公正报道,加大对中非关系和中非合作的信息传播力度。
在此背景下,中国传媒大学新闻传播学部传播研究院非洲传媒研究中心于2015年6月12~13日在北京举办“中非传媒研究国际研讨会”,旨在搭建中非传媒研究领域学术交流与合作的重要平台,共同促进中非双方在媒体发展、跨文化传播及公共外交等领域的交流与合作。
会议将邀请中国、非洲及西方国家中非传媒研究领域的专家、学者及业界专业人士展开广泛的对话与交流。
研讨会有关事项如下:
一、会议时间及地点
1.会议日期:2015年6月12-13日
2.会议地点:中国传媒大学图书馆圆形报告厅
二、会议议题
本届研讨会的主题为:中非媒体间的新闻报道、跨文化传播与公共外交
共分五个子议题:
    1. 媒体报道中的中国与非洲
2. 中非媒体发展研究
    3. 中非软实力建设与公共外交研究
4. 中非电信发展与合作
    5. 中非跨文化传播
三、论文、摘要的格式及提交
所有参会者需向会议提交学术论文或摘要,进行交流研讨,论文应未公开发表且与研讨会议题相关。
(一)摘要格式
1.作者信息(中英文):姓名、工作单位及职务/职称、邮箱及联系电话;
2. 英文内容摘要:英文300~500个词;
   (二)论文格式
1.英文论文字数5000~6000字;
2.小四号字体,单倍行距,其他遵循APA格式;
(三)论文提交
1. 截稿日期:2015年5月20日。
2. 会议工作语言为英语,请提交英文摘要或论文;
3.请将论文全文或摘要以及申请参会人信息发至邮箱xueluo@cuc.edu.cn。2015年5月25日将邮件回复确认参会通知。
4. 参会论文将在会议结束后择优出版。
四、参会费用
与会代表不需缴纳会务费,但需自行承担交通费、住宿费。
请与会者于2015年5月31日之前发回会议回执,以便安排有关与会事宜。

International Conference on China-Africa Communications

·  Call for Papers
The Africa Communication Research Center (ACRC) is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the International Round Table Conference on China-Africa Communications. The Conference will consist of a mix of plenary and parallel sessions running from 12-13th June 2015 at the Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, China.
In the spirit of interdisciplinary interchange, the conference will address and offer a comprehensive overview of key communications issues between the China and African Countries. Main speakers will include well-known leading scholars and innovators in China-Africa media and communication research as well as researchers, journalists, and communication practitioners, working in a broad range of areas including communication studies, journalism, education, cross-cultural communication, public diplomacyand other areas related to the theme of the conference.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
·        Media coverage on China and Africa;
·        Chinese and African media development;
·        Chinese and African soft power and public diplomacy;
·        Cooperation and development of Chinese and African telecommunication;
·        Cross-cultural communication between China and Africa;


·  Conference Aims   
Relations between China and Africa which date back to centuries have gained momentum over the years and the establishment of this planned Round Table on China-Africa Conference echoes the strategic partnerships. This upcoming conference on China-Africa Communications Research broadly aims to explore the role and potentiality of media and public diplomacy in China-Africa relations. As well as contributing to the communication on China-Africa in a global and local context, it seeks to provide a consolidated and focused forum for academic work that engages with, and invigorates wide-ranging studies on China-Africa communications research.


·  Registration
We encourage completed papers but also accept works-in-progress papers and abstracts reflecting a range of theoretical and practical perspectives on China and Africa communication. No fee is required for the registration.
The following materials should be sent to Dr. Luo Xue at xueluo@cuc.edu.cn by 20 th of May 2015. The notification of paper acceptance will be 25th of May 2015.
·   Maximum length of the abstract should be 300-500 words.
·   Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word and submitted electronically in APA format.
·   Biographical information consisting of organization or institution, position or title within the organization/institution and short statement of interests.

African Communication Research Center(ACRC) is established in December 2012 by the Communication University of China (CUC) to provide an academic hub for research and cooperation in China-Africa communication arena, including the sponsorship of a wide variety of activities that bring together interested faculty and students from a large number of academic disciplines and cultural perspectives, partnering with African universities, interested research organizations and a wide variety of media in Africa. The Center is devoted to publications and consultations which develop and evaluate not only theory-based, culturally sensitive, and developmentally academic work addressing specific policy issues and processes, but also more broadly focused communications work of policy makers, policy advocates and various media professionals.


The Communication University of China (CUC)
As one of the "211" Project key universities directly under the Ministry of Education of China, the Communication University of China has trained, since it was founded over 60 years ago, numerous high-leveled personnel for the Chinese media industry, and made a significant contribution to the nation’s media business and economy.
